Choosing A Droplet (virtual server)
A Droplet is a cloud server running on DigitalOcean's infrastructure. You can use a Droplet for everything from hosting a WordPress blog to running a Docker container. Plus, each Droplet comes with a free DNS management tool.
To get started, you'll need to choose a Droplet size. The smallest Droplet, the $5/mo droplet, has 1 CPU core and 1GB of RAM. If you're not sure which size to choose, start with the smallest and upgrade later if needed.
Once you've selected a size, you'll need to select a datacenter region. The datacenter region is where your Droplet will be physically located.
