Screenshot detection
WhatsApp's new update will allow you to detect when someone has screenshotted your messages. The latest version lets you see who took a screenshot within a group chat (and read, but not necessarily see, what they were looking at). WhatsApp also lets users quickly delete old messages from groups or individuals through a 3-tap process. Dark Mode
WhatsApp Messenger’s newest update, WhatsApp 2.18.69, lets you enable a dark mode on both Android and iOS for supported devices. One tap multimedia sharing
A WhatsApp trick you probably don’t know about is multimedia sharing—for photos, at least. Not only can you send multiple pictures one after another within a WhatsApp message, but you can also just tap once to send all of them at once. If a friend hasn’t opened it yet, they’ll be met with a notification. This is useful if you have lots of photos or videos that need to be shared right away and aren’t separated by anything specific.
End-to-end encryption
WhatsApp has added a new feature that allows users to set messages to disappear from both their own and their recipients’ phones after a certain amount of time has passed. Messages that use end-to-end encryption are nearly impossible for law enforcement agencies or hackers to intercept, so WhatsApp’s latest update is an easy way for people to send messages with total confidence in privacy. Here’s how it works: Open WhatsApp on your phone and navigate to Settings>Account>Security, where you should see a Disappearing Messages option. Once you select it, enter a time period (1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day) during which time your message will be deleted from both devices.

In order for a user to be banned from using WhatsApp, there must be three violations over a span of 180 days.

Everyone loves stickers, and now they can be used in groups as well. Simply tap a sticker when writing a message—it’ll resize and make room for more text. Scroll through your sticker collection, select a sticker, then add it to your message. Multiple stickers will even stack on top of each other so you can get creative with them.
Unlock forgotten password
One cool WhatsApp trick is that you can set your password to a question so you don’t forget it. In case you do forget, WhatsApp will helpfully answer your security question by sending a message through (you just have to hope they remember their password!)! I know, super secure... ????
Delete chat threads remotely
Here’s a weird WhatsApp trick that allows you to delete chat threads remotely. For starters, you need at least two Android phones with WhatsApp installed. Next, both of these devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and they must have each other added as contacts. Afterward, open WhatsApp on one of your phones and go into a chat thread on which you want to delete all messages. Then, tap and hold on any message in that thread for about five seconds until all messages start blinking red. At last, tap Delete for Everyone in order to remove all messages from your conversation history.

Private replies
You can respond privately to a message, meaning your conversation won’t appear in your contact’s chat list. To do so, tap on three dots that appear at the top-right of your screen when you get a message. From there, tap on reply privately. Your contact will then receive a notification saying you responded privately.
Transfer contacts from other devices
If you want to switch from Android or iPhone, for example, make sure you back up your contacts and then transfer them onto your new device. This is a good step no matter which platform you’re switching from or onto.
